An extremely rare tetradrachm from Maroneia

THRACE. Maroneia. Circa 436/5-411/0 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 23 mm, 13.92 g, 12 h), Metrodotos, magistrate. Horse galloping to left; above, wheel of four spokes. Rev. MHT-PO-ΔO-TOΣ⋮ Grape vine with four bunches of grapes within linear square; all within shallow incuse square. Schönert-Geiss, Maroneia, 131 (V31/R41) = West 39. SNG Copenhagen -. SNG Delepierre -. SNG Lockett -. Extremely rare. Nicely toned and with a very sharp obverse. The reverse slightly rough and with a minor scrape, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
